And let’s not forget how recycling gives us fun ways of doing design on a budget.
So Wivenhoe Creatives is pitching in to help with Wild About Wivenhoe, a series of events taking place between the 5th and the 14th May 2017, culminating in the Wivenhoe Goes Wild family festival on the 13th May 12-6pm on King George V Playing Field, Wivenhoe (see planned events below).
Wivenhoe Creatives Director Deborah Talbot is heading up the PR (with Essex Uni student Jo Hetzel getting some work experience on social media), and we’re having an area of the Festival – the Jubilee Garden – to do creative stuff.
We’re going to be offering henna tattooing, face painting, art, poetry and clay sessions, for children and adults. There’s room for plenty more, so if you’ve got an idea, whether it’s an activity or some crafts you want to show off, get in touch with us. We hope to have music, and maybe even food.
We’ll also have a stall with leaflets so if you are offering any creative classes or just want to promote your business, show up on the day with your information cards. Hang around and talk with folk to let them know what you are doing.
For more information about Wild About Wivenhoe events, go to Transition Wivenhoe’s Facebook page.
Here’s the line up for the Wivenhoe Creatives Wivenhoe Goes Wild area on the 13th May.
Refugee Action will be providing a pop up stall somewhere in our vicinity, for tasty refreshments after all the hard work!
